Charlie

*Charlie has officially been adopted!*

DOB: August 1, 2022 (1-year-old and 4 months)

Location: London area

Well-behaved children over 12 due to his size

Single family dwelling with a fenced yard of minimum 6 feet

Good in car: No

Weight: 100lbs; expected to be more

Charlie came to us after his surrenderer had had him for just three weeks. They lived in a condo with no yard, and Charlie needed more space than just living inside. They got him from a frail lady who could not manage his rambunctiousness.

If there is another canine, it should be female as not all same sexes see eye-to-eye. Charlie presently lives with other dogs, and gets on well with them.

Charlie is above all else an extremely gentle dog! He is such a sweet, affectionate and loving soul who loves to hang out with his people. He just wants to please.

He loves lots of attention, but routine, patience and giving him a positive education will do the trick with this boy. You'll make a great connection with him.

As a pup, he is full of energy. He's ready to learn with you, hike and walk with you, and play in the yard.

You need to be ready to work with this boy, as with any pup, to set him up for success. He has settled in well at his foster’s and doing well with the routine. He does get very excited with happiness when people visit.

He did live with two other cats, and is presently with a foster who has other dogs. Proper introductions are always necessary with new pets.

He does have some separation anxiety, and he is fearful of being in the car. All of this can be worked with using Recallers and the Trust Technique.

A pre-requisite will be to sign up for Recallers, or a modified version Home School the Dog program to give you and Charlie the best chance at success. Proof of payment will be required.

If you are interested in Charlie, please complete an adoption application.

There is a $400 minimum adoption contribution. All proceeds go back to the dogs in our care.

Moose was a courtesy post. He has been adopted as far as I know.

Note that we do not adopt out to those in townhomes due to the barking, Mark. I'm very sorry.
