Princess

DOB: February 6, 2020 (4-years-old)

Location: Georgetown, Ontario

Single dwelling home with secure fully-fenced yard of at least 5 feet.
If there is another dog in the home, male is preferable

From her owners:

Princess, a big white fluffy mix, is eager to play, loves to walk, run, and be the centre of attention.  If there is "love" happening (e.g. someone getting a hug) she will slide between their legs to be part of it!  She loves to sleep in bed with someone, or even on the floor beside the bed, so long as she is close to "her people".  She enjoys playing with other dogs, but will default to being with her person.

She is very excited about people coming into the home. She will howl when left alone. (These issues can be resolved with teaching. Again, Recallers is a great online program that will build a connection between you and Princess and help her to feel secure.)

She needs to be with folks who will engage with her, hike and walk her, and just make her a part of their lives.

Please describe any health issues or concerns with the dog.: Princess is quite healthy, though she can get slight infections deep in her ears if the hair is not cleared out regularly.  (A species-appropriate diet will usually clear the ears up. Kibble is highly processed carbs that turn to sugars and create yeast).

We are just in a position in life where we don't want to have a dog to take care of; we were looking after Princess for our daughter, but her life conditions also do not allow her to have Princess living with her.  A PyrX like Princess needs a family who will exercise her and play with her more than we do.  She needs a home with more stimulation than we can provide.

We recommend the Trust Technique along with a Trust Technique Practitioner and the online teaching program Recallers to set you and Princess up for success.

If you are interested in meeting Princess, please complete the adoption application. The adoption will be directly with the owner.

Adoption contribution: $400
