Hercules ' poor feet!

by Michele Harrington
(Lyles, Tennessee )

Our one year old Pyrenees, Hercules, is a big loveable guy, very active and protective. We live in the country in Tennessee. The terrain can be rocky and we have ridges and hollows that he covers regularly. He hunts our property and has even killed a deer that jumped over the wrong fence. He has had one foot issue after another. He hobbles around limping quite often until he heals . Is this something I should be concerned about? I keep him in a fenced area around our house while he heals.

Yes. You should be very concerned about this. You haven't said what is wrong with his feet? Are they cut up? raw and bleeding?

Get him to the vet if you are unable to figure out what the issue is.

He can't do his job properly and wolves/coyotes/ bears can figure out pretty quickly that he is not at full capacity and will harm your boy.
