Digging big holes

Each Pyr I have owned digs huge holes and lots of them, I mean he digs heading straight for China!! Then goes to another hole. Where does this digging come from? I mean these dogs are on a mission.

Digging

Usually to stay cool in the summer heat.

They also need to get regular exercise to stay stimulated with the outside world.

Put aside a bit of garden for them to dig holes. Redirect them there if they start digging elsewhere.
